Dependencies Not Found

Hi all,

After several attempts of installing cfMesh and HiSA I still get the “Not Found” tagline when I check for dependencies.

Attached are the log files and the output.

Thanks for all your help in advance!

You use bluecfd core?

Julien

Here it works. I use bluecfd-core 2017-2.

Hello Thschrader,

So you don’t install openfoam v2006 ? You use instead bluecfd and install paraViem, cfMesh and Hisa in the preferences window of FreeCAD 0.19 ?

I have bluecfd-core 2017-2 correctly installed, it was running with FreeCAD 0.17. But when I install cfMesh I have plenty of warnings, and when check dependency it gives:

Checking dependencies...
cfMesh (CfdOF version) not found
HiSA not found

When I try to mesh something in cfdOF workbench I have an error but I don’t find a log file to share with you

Julien

Yes, I use bluecfd. I installed cfmesh/hisa with the “Choose existing file option”.
Download cfmesh/hisa zips from sourceforge and try this option.
You should run an openFOAM tutorial directly from the bluecfd-terminal to
check if the installation is ok.

Thanks for all your help thschrader!

I tried this method but is giving me the exact same problem, I’m still stuck

Hello,

Bluecfd core is running without problem on chtMultiRegionFoam case.

I have the 2 softwares installed (the first time I have open FreeCAD 0.19, I have done the openfoam v2006 installation), Bluecfd and Openfoam v2006. Openfoam v2006 is not well installed because of Docker problems… Maybe it is a mistake, it is better to uninstall OF v2006 and try to install again cfMesh and Hisa.

Best regards

Julien

I try but it doesn’t work again. Join my log files

Maybe I have to clean the folders in Bluefcd core before trying to reinstall again and again?

Any advises?

Can you check if cfmesh runs from bluecfd-console without error?
Simply copy a cfmesh-cfdof tutorial (I used “elbow90degree”, runs very fast)
into the run folder, then run the “Allrun” batch-file.
Check the mesh with “checkMesh” command.
Paraview opens with “paraFoam” command.
When everything is fine, there should be an issue with FC.
If not, you should do a complete reinstall incl. bluecfd.
Again: for me it works. Strange…

Thank you for your support. I will try

Hello,

I have done the elbow 90 test case and it works

What is the next step that I can check ?

Julien

install the newest cfdof wb and try cfmesh,
even when dependency check fails.
does it work?
i am on cellphone today…

To be sure how to do this:
I uninstall cfdOF from the add-on manager on FC
Close and open FC and reinstall cfdOF in add-manager
Reinstall cfMesh etc..? but I don’t touch to my blueCFD folder, I have already inside cfMesh-cfdof folder and hisa also ?

Right?

no, do not use the addon manager.

close freecad
delete cfdof wb folder from mod-folder
download new cfdof wb zip from github directly.
unpack zip and copy to mod folder
start freecad and do the dependency check.

I have try.

I have download and unzip from github the cfdof-master folder and copy it in the Mod folder of FreeCAD 0.19
Do the check dependency again and again not cfMesh and Hisa not found :frowning: .

I have try to mesh something and I have an error.

My FreeCAD folder from where the software is running in my download folder, is it a problem? I don’t want to move it now because maybe it can give other new problems.

Julien

I restart from the beginning.
Erase and unzip again FreeCAD0.19. Copy the extracted folder in my program folder.

When I open FreeCAD in the addon manager the benchmarks that I had choose before are already installed. Strange. I don’t know how to uninstall and start from a fresh FreeCAD
I think that I don’t put the cfdof-master folder in the right place, in my version of FreeCAd 017 in the Mod file there is no cfdof-master floder.

Do you are agree with this path?

C:\Program Files\FreeCAD_019\FreeCAD_0.19.22960-Win-Conda_vc14.x-x86_64\Mod\CfdOF-master

I check dependencies are again not found

cfdof wb is located in
appdata/roaming/freecad
when bluecfd/cfmesh runs fine, dont touch it.

still oncellphone… :unamused:

Hello,

Ok sorry

I have put the folder in the right place now, I have remane it CfdOF (not CfdOF-master, initial name of the downloaded file). I see that there is 2 missing folders (named .git and pycahe) in the new cfdOF-master that I have downloaded.(old folder = obsolete in the view)

So I have try to check dependencies without the 2 missing folders. Result → cfMesh not found, hisa not found
So I copy paste these 2 folders from the old CfdOF folder, check dependencies. Result → cfMesh not found, hisa not found.

Of course I have close FC during these operations.

Julien

Hi

C:\Program Files\FreeCAD_019\FreeCAD_0.19.22960-Win-Conda_vc14.x-x86_64\Mod\CfdOF-master

if i remember right, you have to remove the -master from the folder name

Again my folder structure, FC adds all additional wb here:
mod_folder.JPG
May cfdof-wb, can you try this?
CfdOF - Kopie.zip (458 KB)
for testing:
elbow90degree.FCStd (120 KB)
