What’s the idea behind the dropdown in the ‘Attach Sketch’ dialog?

If there was no dropdown but we’d see the whole list immediately we would save one useless mouse click.
In case the list gets too long instead of scrolling we could add additional lists side by side.
I think there is no need for this dialog to be that small.
It’s also these little things that make FreeCAD slow and a bit laborious. So I mention it.
Why is a selection needed? Each time I try to use ‘Attach Sketch’ I first select a sketch, then press ‘Attach Sketch’ and wonder why I have to select a sketch in the combo box. But perhaps this is only the workflow I expect.
Agree. It’s confusing. You first select a plane to which you want to attach a Sketch.
THEN you have to select the Sketch that you want to attach from this dropdown list in the dialog.
You need it, when you want to change the attachment.
Warning: Frequent use of this tool is an indicator that you attach sketches to faces, i.e. to generated geometry. This vastly increases the possibility of getting problems caused by the topological nameing problem.
