Hi,
according to the wiki, the PD Groove window is titled “Groove parameters” and has the icon of that tool:
Partdesign_groove_parameters.png
However, what I see since at least a few versions is the same name and title as in the case of the PD Revolution tool:
actual groove window.PNG
I know that it’s also the case with Additive/Subtractive Pipe, Loft and Helix (it would be good to change that too by the way) but Pad and Pocket have different titles and icons and, according to the wiki, it should be also the case with Revolution and Groove.
It can be quite confusing since there’s a well-known behavior of models disappearing from the viewport when an operation leads to multiple solids or otherwise fails. There are also rare cases of operations behaving in an opposite way. Generally speaking, there’s no preview of the operations (some outline showing how the operation behaves in addition to previewing the end result) so proper titles and icons could help identify them when a user is not sure if he selected the right tool. Thus, I’d suggest changing the titles and icons for subtractive operations, at least for Groove but possibly for other tools as well.
