Most recent printable version of FreeCad Manual

Hi
I am not sure if this is the right place to ask, but where can I find the most recent printable version of FreeCad Manual (.pdf etc ) ?

It’s a good place to ask, but there is no current printable version of the documentation. There is a book from Yorik, which shows basic principles, but it was written fo a now outdated version, with a completely different workflow in the most frequently used PartDesign workbench.

So you may be better off by working through the PartDesign Tutorials.

The Sketcher lecture iin my signature is also available as pdf, and it is also outdated, but not that much. The principles of degrees of freedom and how geometric elements increase them while constraints decrease them are still valid.

chrisb thank you so much.

I have already printed and read your Sketcher lecture which is so useful to me.
The point is that I am looking for a similar point of view text i. e. an overview of FCad program.

I am glad that the lecture is mentioned at FCad wiki and of course at the forum. It should be mentioned to more wiki pages.

I am looking forward to read a new chapter from you, about placement or attachment. It is a part of FCad which still daunts me.

Thanks again.

made this a while back, dwl-link updated,

https://devtalk.freecad.org/t/wiki-manual-overhaul-concerted-effort/72429/1

as pointed out, the manual is not always up to date, so you should always have in mind that it now can work/look slightly different. most of the time the “normal” wiki will have the latest and greatest.

in any case, when you find something that appears outdated - voicing it on the forum typically leads to a correction, or better yet, get involved and fix it yourself

Have you looked at Bance’s Basic_Attachment_Tutorial?

Thanks a lot I will.
