I really like PATH and Freecad.

I love to use cnc equipment.
I have tested version 19. and added a newer version (yeah newer) keeping it separate in folder named freecad19b. and noticed just like many other apps related to unix (ah yes i mean linux) the code seems to combine itself with the older version through some shared folders. I instantly noticed a difference in both versions (19newer and 19older) one very pointed object noticed was the tool table description option came up in the new the option for add tool in the pulldown menu was gone. ha no more blank tool. hence my friends always keep the old version of the version of the best of what ever you might achieve before. what law does that fall under Cya?? Anyway I am so positive what I can make with freecad path is almost world class. I can not believe some of the paths I can create very fast and so much is just so FREE. conclusion I will keep these 2 versions feeding each others good and bad functions to get things cut same as in the past when all this started and software was also changing fast. Did I say I love Path in Freecad? Sorry now I have mixed versions but my next computer will be newer amd and more ram to churn out more complex toolpaths with next versions of software. Hats off to all the makers of this very nice software. I am going to finish my career using this Freecad.
current computer has: i7 865SU 1.8-1.99GHZ ASUS LAPTOP W/16GRAM
This software for toolpaths is very capable and fast. I insert step files and just do cnc milling. using some work bench tools in freecad to make tool path geometry.

Hi and welcome to the forum!

There is folder ~/.FreeCAD shared between versions. It keeps config data, last opened files, locally installed workbenches and macros.
