I have already done a test version. But I have to rebase after some recent changes. I did not consider IFC export, I’ll have to check that.
Great! Thnx!
I really want to test this)
I hope this will appear in the weekly build soon.
While testing out the code I notice that there is an IFC import issue with wall openings. In V0.21 and V0.22 I have to check the “Separate openings” import option to get openings when importing the attached IFC. In V0.20 this is not required. I don’t understand this but I have no experience with IFC export and import. The issue occurs for the new “Opening only” preset, but also for other presets.

Not familiar with IFC either, any problem with the attached ifc ?
It shows up fine in a viewer. Checking the file in a text editor reveals that the Opening is stored as a solid, which seems OK as well. Don’t know if other BIM programs will accept the model.
I see, I used to have ifc++ Bernd maintained. Maybe ifcopenshell viewer can be used. Will try when there is a gap.
Have a look at - https://view.ifcopenshell.org/v/XGOsRybQjTspzrKoaRwPdqRCpyGudjuJ
FreeCAD 0.22_pre import with legacy ifc import crash FC, ok with Native-IFC import though.
Seems both has no opening ![]()

I have already commented on that I think:
