There are a number of low-cost printers today that can compete with the RepRap. The “build-it yourself” and self-replicating nature likely appeal to a very small portion of the potential users.

You’re right of course. Still, there is a need for these users to be part of a community to share knowledge. But abominations such as Discord have completely smashed the open-ness of the web by requiring registration to even just see the content. Just like f..g Facebook.

BTW not happy at all with FC’s gradual migration to GH either. But I’m no longer invested in the project so… Still, it’s maddening (I’m actually refraining from expressing my true sentiment ).

Yes. FreeCAD can at times be confusing, but it can also help clarifying things. This is the 60° I’m talking of:

One thing the above does not do is guarantee 270 degrees of arc.

But come to think of it, it would be quicker to just keep the second arc and make its radius small, but non-zero. I’d say it could even have a radius as large as say, 1/4 of the bottom one. You’ll get filament sagging, but not low enough to obstruct the theoretical fully cylindrical hole.
