Hi everyone! My thoughts about the App icon:
- the current FC icon is bothering me, mostly for lacking balance and crafted feel.
- let’s make a new one, that solves the above, but doesn’t break the continuity with the old one.
- keep the red letter F, keep the gear, make it recognizable.
- I don’t care about the logotype and visual identity too much, I would only like to improve the application icon at this point.
Something similar to this proposal:

It’s still lacking some contrast, if you see it next to other app icons, but the direction works for me in general.

Hello everyone, I’d like to present my proposal for the new software logo.
The logo is available in a variety of versions to suit different contexts, the main version is in color, but it is also available in a monochrome version.
I believe this proposal is a good logo for FreeCAD, it’s modern, elegant, and representative of the software.
